As it should be … in the Garden

The thunder is rolling by in the Garden. The rain is pattering down on a thirsty dry land where dust blows when you sneeze. A storm brewing from 20 miles away has finally reached and the sparks from the lightning portray the mighty power of God.

A day is ending and with it the dust is settling, to give us another new day… another dawn, as bright as yesterday’s. A day is ending… through a storm, powerful, mighty, yet beautiful in its own way … for the breath of fresh air, and the peace and clarity in the air it brings.

The television is drowning out the sound of the rain. The characters in the movie are talking, moving, laughing … make-believe. Nothing there is real, but my world is real… from the elephant, to the grass … from the giraffe to the wildebeest… from the lion to their prey … everything is exactly as it should be … and as real as it ever could be.

As the rain comes down and soaks the earth, it brings with it an incredible relief from a dry, dusty day for man and beast alike. No camera props, fountains, cages … just man and beast … living, walking, calling, talking, playing freely, like I imagined it would be… in the beautiful Garden of Eden.

It is right to stop for a moment and receive the blessing.

Come… walk with me in the Garden

This is beautiful. To stop and take it all in… To just be alive in the midst. This image is so calming to me.
